To look at Edwina,
you'd never suspect that this petite redhead once sailed around the world in a craft that
she designed and built.
She financed this nautical expedition by creating unique jewelry designs that were immediately snapped up by the leading design houses in Europe and the Far East. She turned that business over to her son, built her yacht, and set out on her adventure around the world. Upon completing that trip, she looked around for something else to do and decided to become a VA.
So now she gets to work at home in shorts or sweats, go barefooted in the summer, and work with delightful clients!!!
Before becoming a VA, Edwina earned a master’s degree in systems analysis and worked at the headquarters of two Fortune 500 companies. Excellent credentials, along with an understanding of how things are done in the corporate world, give Edwina the insight that her clients appreciate.She describes herself as "detail-oriented, but also with the capability of looking at the big picture. A Virtual Assistant needs the ability to listen, problem-solve, and then communicate back."
A great sense of humor is also part of Edwina’s "package." While working virtually prevents clients from seeing the twinkle in her eye, Edwina’s clients acknowledge that they sometimes call her just to get themselves sorted out. As one client explains, "She’s a good listener. She actually coaches me!."A lifelong southerner, Edwina readily admits that her accent and manner of speaking help, to make a telephone conversation more than just a way to exchange information. And by working at home, she created perfect surroundings…..a sunny, corner office with high-tech equipment, crisp white walls, and hardwood floors.
